We're first-responder owned, and we hire people who care about EMS education as much as we do — from the warehouse floor to the leadership team. If you want your work to help students walk into clinicals prepared, we'd like to hear from you.
LJ Merchant
LJ started MedTech not in a boardroom, but in his bedroom. Having gone through EMS wishing there was a kit of supplies available, he knew something had to change. By the age of 25, LJ and his wife were raising four kids while building one of the fastest-growing supply companies in EMS education.
After becoming an EMT, LJ saw firsthand how unprepared many students felt entering clinicals, largely because no one made it easy to get the gear they needed. So he created the solution himself: a pre-assembled, customizable kit tailored to each school’s program. What began with seven items and a few cold calls has grown into a company trusted by hundreds of EMS programs nationwide.
LJ brings a rare combination of grit, urgency, and clarity of purpose to MedTech. This business wasn’t built for fun, it was built for function. To provide. To serve. To solve a real problem for students who are training to save lives.
Today, LJ continues to lead MedTech with the same intensity that launched it: one built not just on business strategy, but on real-life resilience. He believes in the power of education, the dignity of hard work, and the importance of building something that outlasts you.

Muhammad Zain
Zain leads engineering at MedTech, but he's still very much hands-on with the code. He's the guy who turns half-formed ideas into tools that actually work, and work well. Whether it's building a new feature, tracking down a tricky bug, or helping the team figure out a better way to do something, he's usually in the middle of it. He believes good engineering is as much about the team as it is about the code, and he's always looking for ways to make both a little better.
