Products Covered

The Guarantee applies exclusively to Clinical Kits that meet the following criteria:

  • Are available for sale on our website, MedTechKits.com, and have the “Pass or Don’t Pay Promise” badge displayed on the product page
  • Were purchased through our wholesaling program

Note: Individual components (e.g., stethoscopes, trauma shears, penlights) or partial kit purchases are not covered under this Guarantee.

Who Qualifies

The Guarantee applies to students who:
  1. For the first time in their lifetime, enrolled in a recognized EMT-Basic, advanced EMT, or paramedic course in the USA within 6 months of the purchase date of a MedTech Clinical Kit.
  2. Purchase a Clinical Kit from our website MedTechKits.com or receive a Clinical Kit from their school.
  3. Have not previously attended an EMS training academy, school, or course, such as EMT-Basic, advanced EMT, Paramedic, etc.

This Guarantee does not apply to courses classified as Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

Gifted Kits

If a clinical kit is gifted to someone, The Guarantee may still apply, but specific conditions must be met to ensure The Guarantee can be properly honored.

  1. The Guarantee will apply to the recipient of the gift, provided they meet all the standard eligibility requirements.
  2. The Guarantee will automatically transfer from the original purchaser to the recipient upon gifting.
  3. The recipient must be the one to initiate enrollment into the Pass or Don’t Pay Promise Program.
  4. The recipient may need to provide proof of purchase (from the original purchaser) or contact information of the original buyer, confirming the purchase date and kit details.
  5. In the case of gifted kits, The Guarantee will only be valid if the kit was purchased through an authorized MedTech channel, such as MedTechKits.com.
  6. The Guarantee applies to the recipient and cannot be claimed by both the original purchaser and the recipient. Only one claim for a refund or participation in the Pass or Don’t Pay Promise Program is allowed per kit.

Requirements for Proof of Course Enrollment & Failure Documents

The Commitment to Completion program is available to students who did not pass their class due to academic reasons or exigent circumstances.

Students must provide proof of course enrollment and subsequent failure/circumstances to qualify for enrollment in the Commitment to Completion program. Both documents are required to access the benefits of the program.

Proof of Course Enrollment:

A document showing that the student was enrolled in the course. This can include any of the following:

  • A class schedule or registration confirmation.
  • A tuition payment receipt or invoice that indicates the course for which payment was made.
  • An email or letter from the educational institution confirming enrollment in the course.

Details to Include: The document must clearly show the student’s name, the name of the course, and the term during which they were enrolled.

Proof of Course Failure:

“Failed” is defined by receiving a final grade that is below the course’s minimum passing standard. An incomplete or withdrawal status for the course is not “failed” for the purposes of The Guarantee terms.

A document showing that the student failed the course is required. This can include any of the following:

  • An official transcript or document from the educational institution showing that the student did not pass the course.
  • A non-official document, such as a screenshot of the final grade from the institution’s student portal, indicating that the student did not pass the course.
  • An email or written statement from the course instructor or program director that confirms the student did not meet the passing requirements.

Details to Include: The proof must clearly state the student’s name, course title, final grade, or a note confirming the course was not successfully completed.

Proof of Exigent Circumstances:

“Exigent Circumstances” are defined as events that are reasonably out of one’s control and required such a great amount of attention that it became impossible to attend or complete the course.

A student’s application for the Commitment to Completion program under exigent circumstances will be taken on a case-by-case basis, and is subject to approval by MedTech.

Examples of reasonable exigent circumstances are:

  • Personal Medical Emergency: Serious illness or injury that directly impacts the student’s physical ability to continue their studies.
  • Family Medical Crisis: Severe illness or emergency affecting an immediate family member requiring the student’s support or attention for an extended period of time.
  • Death of a Spouse: The death of a spouse that affects the student’s ability to focus or attend class.
  • Natural Disaster Impact: Displacement or disruption due to events like hurricanes, wildfires, floods, or earthquakes.
  • Military Deployment or Orders: Unexpected deployment or military obligations that interrupt class attendance.

A document showing the exigent circumstance is required.
